Job Title: Banquet Chef de Partie - Lead Food Preparation Team Member About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Banquet Chef de Partie to lead our food preparation team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate teams. They should be well-organized, able to work under pressure, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities: - SUPERVISE AND TRAIN TEAM MEMBERS: Provide guidance, support, and coaching to junior chefs to help them develop their skills and knowledge. - FOOD PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION: Prepare and present high-quality dishes that meet the hotel's standards and exceed guest expectations. - CLEANLINESS AND HYGIENE: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. - MIS-EN-PLACE PREPARATION: Prepare all necessary ingredients and materials for menu items in advance. - GUEST SERVICE: Respond promptly to guest queries and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner. - RECORD KEEPING: Accurately record food costs, inventory levels, and other relevant data to support budget control. Requirements: - At least 1 year of experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie experience. - Strong leadership and coaching skills. - Ability to motivate teams and work effectively under pressure. - Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. - Supervisory experience. - Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification desirable. - Knowledge of current food trends desirable.
