Job Description As a Medical Billing Specialist / Claims Processor, you will manage and process insurance claims for ABA providers, track payments and denials, and follow up with insurers to ensure accurate reimbursements. Your expertise will help maintain smooth billing operations, resolve discrepancies, and support efficient revenue cycles for healthcare services. Job Overview Employment type: Indefinite term type contract Shift: Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM Salary: 7,500,000 COP​ Work setup: Work from home / Remote Your Daily Tasks - Scrub, review, and submit claims for ABA providers - Track claim statuses and remittances - Work denials and follow up with insurers on unpaid claims proactively - Manage patient responsibility invoices (e.g., patient co-insurance, co-pays) - Analyze EOBs and post manual payments Requirements The Qualifications We Seek - 3+ years of experience in medical billing for commercial and Medicaid insurance plans - Experience working with electronic medical record / practice management systems - Experience working with clearinghouses and payor portals - Knowledge of the denials, corrections, and appeals process Plus: - Strong Excel skills - Experience in Data Analysis - Knowledge of SQL, particularly in querying data - Experience in ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) Tech Stack: SQL, Advanced Excel skills, ABA Benefits Exciting Perks Await! - 5 days work week - Weekends off - Work from home arrangement - 20 vacation days in total (5 extra vacation days) - Prepaid medicine - Fully-customized Emapta laptop and peripherals - Direct exposure to our clients - Career growth opportunities - Diverse and supportive work environment - Prime Office Locations - Bogotá and Medellin - Unlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy courses (Want to know more?
