Whats unique about this job (What you’ll do) The Senior People Data & Analytics Specialist plays a critical role in transforming global HR data into strategic insights that drive operational excellence and evidence-based decision-making. As an expert in HR data management, reporting automation, and workforce analytics, this position works cross-functionally with People Organization, IT, and business leaders to deliver scalable data solutions, ensure data integrity, and enhance the organization’s use of HR systems. The specialist also acts as a mentor and subject matter expert in People analytics, supporting continuous improvement and innovation in data practices across regions. Key Responsibilities - HR Data Governance: - Ensure global data quality through regular audits, data validation, and issue resolution for actionable and reliable insights to drive people management initiatives. Collaborate with HR teams and system users to improve data entry practices and drive data integrity initiatives. - Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting: - Design and deliver advanced dashboards, KPIs, and workforce reports using visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights to support People Organization and leadership decision-making. Lead the preparation, segmentation, and timely delivery of key people metrics across all reporting cycles. Conduct strategic analysis of trends and performance indicators, providing actionable insights and recommendations to People managers and senior leadership. - Automation & Workflow Optimization: - Build automated reporting pipelines and reusable data models using tools such as Power Query, VBA, or Python. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual work and increase reporting speed and accuracy. - Collaborate with People Business Partners and IT to identify and implement opportunities to optimize HR system capabilities, streamline administrative processes, and reduce operational costs through enhanced automation and system integration. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support: Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to HR Business Partners, Compensation, - Talent, and senior HR stakeholders. Provide insights and custom reports for initiatives such as workforce planning, turnover analysis, or DEI metrics. - Project & Systems Support: - Support the enhancement and integration of HR systems, including HRIS and timekeeping platforms (e.g., Kronos, AS400), and contribute to system upgrades or transitions by ensuring reporting readiness and data continuity. - Assist with configuration validation and execution of end-to-end (E2E), user acceptance (UAT), regression, and payroll parallel testing across multiple workstreams. - Work closely with integration partners to validate data exchanges via API or SFTP protocols. - Support organizational change initiatives by assisting in the planning and execution of roadshows, town halls, and other change management activities. - Provide technical guidance and share best practices with junior analysts and HR colleagues. Promote data literacy and a culture of evidence-based decision-making within HR. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in database management. Desirable experience in HR analytics, workforce planning, or business intelligence roles. Experience in multinational or retail environments is highly valued. Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience with configuration and testing of enterprise HR platforms (Workday, UKG Pro, UKG WFM, or similar). - Familiarity with multi-country HR environments and regional compliance considerations (e.g., LATAM). - Experience with APIs, SFTP integrations, and HR data security principles. Technical Expertise: - Power BI (DAX, data modeling, UX design) or equivalent visualization tools (Tableau, Looker). - Experience in data automation using Python (Pandas, NumPy, OpenPyXL) and VBA. - Desirable Proficiency in Power Apps for building custom HR applications that streamline workflows, support data entry, and enhance user experience across decentralized teams. - Desirable Experience with Power Automate to design and implement automated workflows that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual HR tasks, and connect data across systems. - Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems such as Kronos, Workday, SuccessFactors, or AS400. - Knowledge of ETL processes and data architecture best practices. - Strong critical thinking and ability to synthesize complex data into business recommendations. - Strong sense of structure and quality control; consistently applies a methodical approach to problem-solving and ensures high standards of accuracy, compliance, and reliability in all data outputs. - Excellent communication and storytelling skills, both verbal and written. - Proactive mindset with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail. - Bilingual in English and Spanish (B2 level or higher).
