Position Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement process for food products, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies through our supply chain. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations while optimizing costs and maintaining our high-quality standards. The client is a family-owned and operated company revolutionizing how the world views and consumes Latinx and Afro-Caribbean foods. Founded in 1998, The client is a national Bakery, which began by offering authentic Colombian baked goods and homemade dishes. Over 25+ years, they’ve grown to become a culinary staple. What You'll Do: Coordinate and process purchase orders for food supplies according to inventory needs and production schedules Develop and maintain strong relationships with food vendors and suppliers Conduct regular calls with vendors to manage orders, resolve issues, and strengthen partnerships Check inventory levels regularly and forecast requirements to prevent shortages or overstock situations Track shipments throughout the supply chain to ensure timely delivery from sources to production facilities Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth supply chain processes Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements Assist in implementing procurement policies and procedures Stay informed about market trends and price fluctuations in the food industry What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field 2+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in food manufacturing or production Experience with supply chain management in the food industry Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes Excellent negotiation and communication skills Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications Ability to analyze data and make cost-effective decisions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Fluency in English and Spanish We Offer You: Opportunities to work in a fast-paced startup environment supportive of teamwork, ownership, and purpose.
