The Sec & Derivatives Team Coordinator is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of employees to process orders and transactions from trading desks and branch offices, in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The role's objective is to ensure seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions. Responsibilities: Execute securities transaction processing related to Securities Clearance Settlement for local and global bonds, FX, money markets, and Derivatives Operations. Develop procedures and techniques, and contribute to new methods that increase team productivity, ensuring performance goals are met or exceeded. Propose solutions for settlement process improvements, client service enhancements, and technology upgrades. Serve as an analytical and procedural expert, and as the first point of escalation for staff, management, and clients. Escalate control gaps and issues to senior management as needed. Identify control gaps during settlement cycles and implement solutions to mitigate risks or losses. Analyze data to identify control deficiencies and resolve issues by implementing appropriate procedures. Mentor and advise new and junior staff. Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and maintaining high ethical standards. Escalate and report control issues transparently, supervise activities, and foster accountability. Qualifications: 5-8 years of relevant experience in securities transaction processing, including instructions, settlement, and accounting. Project leadership and management experience. Strong knowledge of payments structures under ISO 20022. Deep understanding of settlement cycle concepts and procedures. Previous management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Education: University degree or higher. Additional notes: Fluency in English is mandatory. Valuable skills include knowledge of Fixed Income and Equities, and ISO 20022 compliance. Proficiency in Process Automation or Agile Methodologies is desirable. Spanish fluency is mandatory.
