Job Description As an Accountant , you’ll oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes. You’ll ensure accurate invoicing, reconcile payments, support internal teams, and keep financials aligned. Job Overview Employment type: Indefinite Term Type Contract Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 05:00 PM EST Work setup : Onsite, Colombia Your Daily Tasks Managing the Accounts Receivable process Monthly account reconciliation and collection efforts Post daily banking cash receipts to customer accounts through the system Process daily customer invoicing and create manual invoices or credit memos as needed Contact customers with past due invoices and obtain commitment for payment Resolve disputed invoices in coordination with customers and internal personnel (quality, shipping, etc.) Participate in bi-weekly corporate collections calls with sales, operations, and finance to provide updates and escalate issues if necessary Managing the Accounts Payable process Enter invoices into the system using appropriate general ledger account numbers Scan invoices into the ERP system and process payments Review vendor statements and reconcile differences Prepare 1099 forms at year-end Collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams to approve and resolve discrepancies Collect credit card receipts, code transactions, and process expense reports Calculate and process monthly commissions for manufacturing representatives Process weekly vendor payments Maintain tooling expenditures spreadsheet and coordinate with project managers to complete and close projects Track expenditures for capital projects Miscellaneous Tasks File documents and records Fulfill management requests Provide additional support as needed The Qualifications We Seek Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, helpful but not required 3+ years of experience in an accounting role, with AP and AR experience Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to navigate a fully integrated ERP system (IQMS preferred) Broad knowledge of general business practices and procedures Professional communication skills—both in person and virtually Strong time management and prioritization skills Exciting Perks Await! 5 days work week Weekends off 20 vacation days in total (5 leaves convertible to cash) Prepaid medicine Fully-customized Emapta laptop and peripherals Direct exposure to our clients Career growth opportunities Diverse and supportive work environment Prime Office Locations - Bogotá and Medellin Unlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy courses (Want to know more?
