This role involves managing various accounting processes and teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and reconciliations. It is vital for supporting our financial framework, managing high-volume transactions, and maintaining positive client relations. This position is based remotely in Colombia and is part of the Accounting Operations Department, which handles daily accounting functions and monthly processes leading to financial statements. Roles and Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and reports, ensuring all deadlines are met. Supervise daily accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, receivables, payables, and monthly closings. Manage and mentor junior accountants, promoting professional growth and high performance. Serve as the primary financial contact for clients, addressing inquiries and explaining complex financial information. Conduct technical assessments and quality control checks to uphold financial standards. Participate in strategic projects like system upgrades and process improvements to enhance efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. CPA or similar certification is highly preferred. Profound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations. High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client management. Advanced proficiency in English. Preferred Qualifications Experience with accounting software and systems. Advanced degrees or certifications in accounting or finance.
