The role We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to join our team as: Senior SQL Database Administrator SoftwareOne Scope: Full-time | Office: Colombia | Remote How a day to day would look like in this role: Configure and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions in sophisticated and distributed environments, especially in the cloud. Manage and scale databases on cloud platforms such as AWS RDS, ensuring that applications are efficient and that the infrastructure meets business needs without compromising performance or security. Develop, implement, and supervise strict security policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. This includes data encryption at rest and in transit, access management, and the implementation of security audits. What we need to see from you Profile: Technical, technological, or professional education in Systems or a related field with extensive experience as a SQL Database Administrator, both in on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Required skills: Sophisticated experience in MS-SQL database management. Knowledge in the implementation and management of high availability solutions such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Failover Clusters. Experience in database management on Amazon RDS, including the use and scalability of SQL Server deployments in the cloud. Security management: development and implementation of comprehensive security policies for database access, encryption, and auditing. Experience working in both on-premises and cloud database environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
