Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Design Technician with prior CADD experience to join our growing Telecom team in our Columbia, MD office! Responsibilities Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings. Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces. Conform to the company's standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. Create and setup plan sets. Prepare conceptual layouts with parameters provided. Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion. Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets. Prepare project exhibits. Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED is required; Associate's degree or a certification from a technical school is a plus. 2+ years of CADD experience in a related field is required. Increasing proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTURN, and other related software. Good communication skills and comfortability with asking questions, when needed. Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. Requires a pre-employment drug screen.
