**Job Summary**: This position is primarily responsible for overseeing and managing the Company’s legal affairs and assets, ensuring the maximization of return and mitigation, to the greatest extent possible, of any risks connected with the operation and ownership of those assets. **Primary Responsibilities**: - Provides strategic legal advice to management on all matters before the Company, including legal advice regarding contracts, risk management, business terms, and legal questions from other departments - Manages the Company’s legal matters, including litigation and regulatory action - Manages outside counsel and ensures appropriate resource is provided to meet the Company’s aims - Works with management to set internal governance policies that impact the legal risk of the Company - Manages and develops the Company’s legal team - Directs activities regarding contract review, negotiation, and preparation - Keeps abreast of legislative changes impacting the Company and engages outside agents to work on behalf of the Company to forward the Company’s aims in respect of discussions with other third parties - Drafts and negotiates agreements that minimize legal risks and maximize legal rights - Reviews advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they follow legal requirements; and Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** **Education**: - Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; current license to practice law **Experience**: - 4+ years practice with an established firm or equivalent experience. **Technical Skills**: - Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), internet and database management **Soft Skills**: - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and meet monthly deadlines. - Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. - Strong analysis a contract mad reporting capability. - Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment. - Ability to exercise problem-solving and innovative-solution mindset to efficiently resolve issues. - Self-motivated; able to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions. - Strong relationship-development skills resulting in long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. - Eager to learn and ability to adapt to changing situations as needed. **Physical Requirements**: - Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day.
