This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and compliant importation of finished products from Asia, Mexico, and the USA to Colombia and Peru. Key Responsibilities: - Manage international supply chains, coordinating with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs agents, and local transport. - Oversee import operations, communicating daily with booking agents and global transportation teams. - Plan shipments, confirm container loads, track shipments, and manage import documentation using SAP and SONDA systems. - Coordinate customs clearance, manage in-transit issues, land transport, and regulatory compliance in Colombia and Peru. - Maintain accurate import records, ensure on-time delivery to warehouses, and generate monthly transit and freight cost reports. Schedule Management: Plan forecasts and ETAs to optimize shipment coordination. Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with internal clients, customs agents, and other stakeholders. Documentation and Compliance: Update customs documents and mandates annually, and maintain regulatory compliance in Colombia and Peru. Process Updates: Review and process supplier invoices, coordinate with finance, and plan for future imports. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade or Engineering. - At least 5 years of experience in import/export logistics. - Course in International Agreements. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in SAP for import processes.
