Job Description SO/ Sotogrande, a prestigious hotel located in the beautiful coastal city of Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook at SO/ Sotogrande, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional gastronomic experiences for our guests, showcasing the best of Spanish and international cuisine. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications and culinary standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local flavors. Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are followed at all times. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality. Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain efficient kitchen operations and timely food service. Assist in inventory management and food cost control. Participate in special culinary events and themed gastronomic experiences. Adapt to changing needs and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to creating a positive and professional kitchen environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel or resort setting. Strong culinary skills and techniques, with experience in Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Deep knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Experience with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong teamwork and effective communication skills. Fluency in Spanish; knowledge of English is a plus. Diploma or degree in culinary arts preferred. Food safety certification required. Passion for gastronomy and commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
