With our paced growth, we are looking to expand our Project engineering team with a Project engineer with bilingual ability to work in industrial water and effluent treatment systems. The position does require travel to site near Barranquilla on a frequent basis to manage various subcontractors, provide engineering interface, implement safety and culture to progress the project within the described timelines. As a Project Engineer, you will be in charge of managing industrial water and wastewater treatment in the region. You will coordinate the realization of industrial water and wastewater treatment projects through its life cycle. As a project engineer, you are involved in civil construction, detailed design, procurement of industrial equipment, negotiation and follow-up of civil and electro-mechanical works, commissioning, and start-up. You manage the project financially & contractually and you follow up the time schedule and are responsible for all communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and colleagues. You will report to the the head office on a regular basis. It is crucial that you have excellent communication skills in Spanish and English and willing to work hard to meet your goals. You will participate in meetings with clients and will have good grasp of the project background and be responsible for timely delivery. Your main tasks include: Project Engineering and Management Coordinate and manage civil and electromechanical works Understand Process & Instrumentation Diagrams Train operators, staff and engineers with assistance from Colleagues Develop project management systems for scheduling and cost tracking Participate in technical and commercial discussions Understand and implement contractual obligations Write daily, weekly and monthly reports to inform site progress Vendor engagement and procurement support Attend Technical and commercial clarifications and meeting/presentations with client Hand Over Projects **Profile**: You have a Bachelor/Master degree in engineering (chemical, environmental, mechanical or equal) You are able to work independently but also in team. Experience with CAD environments is a plus. Notions of civil and mechanical design. You have an analytical and curious mind. You are result oriented and able to work under time pressure. You are very communicative and a fast learner. Fluent in English and excellent command in technical writing. You can work in a very methodical way. You are a critical thinker, can make a good analysis and can report clearly. You can work efficiently and effectively. You are pragmatic. You are willing to travel on a frequent basis. General knowledge of industrial plant construction, automation and instrumentation.
