We’re looking for a .NET Core (C#) Developer who can delve into new subject matter every day; someone who is always pushing the limits of traditional software development. The successful candidate will be a curious, collaborative person who is eager to draw on what they already know and who jumps at any opportunity to dive into new territories. We develop primarily in React with a C# .Net Core backend hosted on Azure - you may have a greater interest in some of these technologies than others, but we’re looking for people who want to make a well-rounded full-stack contribution to every part of every project. Job Description Approach work from an Agile mindset applying practices and principles wherever possible Attend and contribute to all Sprint events to achieve desired outcomes Interact with stakeholders/Product Owner to clarify requirements and provide input into the creation of User Stories Responsible for estimation, sprint planning and managing all their own tasks and reporting on progress Collaborates closely with all team members to take a shared responsibility for the sprint backlog and the team’s success Develops new or amended features, resolves bugs and carries out other tasks as required to realise business outcomes Produces high quality code and takes responsibility for the quality of their own code - writing unit tests and conducting unit testing where applicable Maintains broader code quality through peer code reviews Manage / assist with live releases in line with the team’s release schedule Identify improvement opportunities to improve team processes and agree on actionable improvements Provide 2nd/3rd line support within their domain environment Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent professional qualification/experience Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly 2- 3 years of relevant software engineering experience Good understanding of software architecture, issues and design Good understanding of data and databases Familiarity and good experience with Agile development methodologies and the complete product lifecycle from inception to delivery Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal An analytical mind in identifying appropriate solutions for business requirements Familiarity with integrating with 3rd party libraries in .NET and React Typescript Ability to work independently across some or all the Microsoft Stack and other key technologies: .NET Core 8, LINQ, Entity Framework React Typescript, SCSS GIT JSON, YAML Auth0 (in addition preferably B2C) DevOps tools (preferably understanding of Azure DevOps using YAML pipelines) SQL and No SQL (preferably PostgreSQL and Cosmos Db) AI Prompt Engineering Additional Information Flexible working environment Volunteer time off About NIQ NIQ is the world’s leading consumer intelligence company, delivering the most complete understanding of consumer buying behavior and revealing new pathways to growth.
