We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to serve as the critical link between our Finance/Accounting, IT, and Project Management teams. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience driving cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful business solutions. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering: Serve as a trusted liaison among Finance/Accounting, IT, and Project Management teams. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and understand business needs, conduct interviews and workshops, and translate those needs into detailed, actionable functional specifications. Business Process & Systems Analysis: Analyze existing business systems and processes to identify areas for improvement. Document current-state workflows and propose future-state solutions that support strategic business objectives. Solution Design & Implementation: Design, document, and validate proposed technology solutions. Participate in solution testing, quality assurance, and implementation to ensure systems meet business needs and user expectations. Project Coordination: Manage tasks and timelines for small to mid-sized projects, including gathering requirements, creating documentation and process flows, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones. Testing & User Support: Assist in the development of test plans and user acceptance criteria. Support end-users through training sessions, the creation of user documentation (manuals, reference guides, etc.), and troubleshooting during and after deployment. Value Assessment & Business Case Development: Develop business cases that include ROI calculations, cost-benefit analysis, value assessments, and risk evaluations to support project justification and decision-making. Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve issues by leveraging deep knowledge of systems, applications, and business processes. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions. Scope Definition & Change Management: Support scope definition for new initiatives and participate in change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and implementation of solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience acting as a liaison between business and technical teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Experience with business systems analysis, process design, and project coordination. Familiarity with financial systems and accounting principles is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
