About The Role We are a growing immigration law firm seeking a dependable, bilingual (English and Spanish) Paralegal. The Paralegal will assist with reviewing and preparing immigration applications, supporting clients, and answering questions. The team is trained to handle a wide range of immigration inquiries and review cases before escalation to attorneys. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, responsible, and committed. Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am to 6 pm EST. What You'll Do Learn requirements and processes for VAWA, T-Visa, U-visa, family cases, Med DA, naturalization, and other case types. Review application packets and revise forms and exhibits as requested by attorneys. Develop operational plans for rejection, work permit renewals, corrections, and supplements; review and correct packets post-review. Review FBI background checks, police reports, and FOIA responses. Answer live client calls, identify questions for escalation, and implement attorney guidance. Handle client escalations, help move cases forward, or improve processes. Communicate legal information to clients clearly; attend calls or meetings with attorneys as needed. Review cases for termination, create notes for client understanding. Assist in preparing legal training materials, templates, or scripts. Collaborate with operational teams for case process insights. Support overflow attorney tasks, such as reviewing intake notes. Perform legal and factual research as requested. Qualifications Must be bilingual (English and Spanish). Prior paralegal experience, preferably in humanitarian cases. Experience in high-volume immigration law is a plus. Familiarity with legal database software. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, case management software (Salesforce/Litify), and MS Outlook.
