Role Purpose: The role leads the LatAm Claims organization across all Lines of Business. The primary purpose of this role is to support the development and execution of Everest’s business strategy through the creation and delivery of Claims solutions, capabilities, and services. The role holder is a member of the Global Claims Executive team and partners closely with the Head of LatAm Insurance, senior underwriters, and country leadership. Key Accountabilities: Strategic Leadership of Claims within LatAm Provision of claims management services within LatAm Develop and execute strategies to ensure that the LatAm Claims function meets business targets and plans Contribute to the development of Global Claims Strategy Personal oversight of large and complex losses and systemic claims issues Partner with Regional and Product leadership to ensure effective communication and integration of Claims capabilities and insights to drive business plans and outcomes Lead, build, and manage Claims teams to enhance the delivery of strategic goals Market-facing role, promoting Everest brand and capabilities within LatAm Business development and execution of annual business planning Provide services and Claims solutions to support clients’ most complex risks and challenges Broker and customer relationship management for LatAm to support retention and acquisition of business Operational Provide management and oversight of LatAm Claims, working closely with the Global Head of Claims and central Claims support functions Ensure team performance meets or exceeds standards and customer needs Ensure data capture, creation, and analysis to understand claims performance and trends, and communicate effectively to stakeholders Manage expenses to maintain competitive advantage Create annual Claims budget and forecast based on claim forecasts and staffing models Monitor, report, and analyze Claims performance against plan/budget/forecast Carry out Claim Quality Assurance processes to ensure policies and procedures are followed Manage performance of TPAs and panel service providers, including audit strategies Ensure claims handlers operate within their authorities Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and controls for regulatory and governance requirements People Build and develop a team to deliver strategic goals Align, empower, and influence others through ideas, encouragement, and insight Set goals, evaluate performance, and manage direct reports Assess training needs Make remuneration recommendations Report HR issues and disciplinary actions to leadership and HR Skills & Abilities A highly credible Claims leader Experience in building and executing strategic plans for Claims organizations Extensive knowledge of managing claims portfolios across multiple lines of business Excellent communication skills for concise executive summaries Highly collaborative, effective across organizational and external stakeholders Adaptable, solutions-driven, with decisiveness and risk-taking courage Strong interpersonal skills and respect for others’ opinions Professional Qualifications and Experience A degree, preferably with Insurance or relevant qualifications Experience in commercial and specialty claims within LatAm Experience in innovative Claim solutions Proven ability to manage and build Claims teams across multiple product lines Core Values and Culture As a Claims leader, champion Everest Insurance Culture, emphasizing collaboration, diversity, thoughtful risk-taking, execution, humility, and leadership.
