We work very close to the PMO department, which defines formal processes that combine all business systems tools.The daily tasks include choosing and adopting or designing and developing the tools that support the company business core. We also support the whole company in day-to-day operations regarding our tools and processes, including training when it is needed. We do not manage only the different tools but the development of the integrations between the third-party cloud services we use. We are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our growing technology team at Making Science. This position plays a critical role in supporting our employees, managing IT operations, and ensuring the stability and security of our corporate systems in a fast-paced, digital, and collaborative environment. 🎯 What we'd like you to do System Administration: Manage and maintain internal corporate systems with minimal supervision. Google Workspace Basic Administration: Oversee Google Workspace environments, including user accounts, groups, and organizational units via the Google Admin Console. User Lifecycle Management: Execute full lifecycle processes including user onboarding, system provisioning, and secure offboarding. Provider Management: Coordinate and supervise external IT service providers, acting as the primary point of contact, ensuring quality delivery across networking, infrastructure, and support services alignment with internal standards. Purchase Management: Manage IT procurement processes, including hardware acquisition, software licensing, and vendor quotation evaluations, ensuring cost-effective and timely fulfillment of company needs. Processes Management: Design, implement, and optimize IT service management workflows to improve support efficiency and service quality. Service Desk Operations: Lead L1/L2 support efforts and independently resolve complex technical issues while ensuring excellent end-user experience. Project Management Tools: Administer Jira Cloud instance, including user and project configurations, permissions, and workflow optimization across teams. Network Support: Perform basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues and VPN support. System Setup & Operations: Lead software implementations, system configurations, and ongoing maintenance activities across platforms. Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation; provide user training and knowledge sharing with junior team members. 🔊 What we'd like you to bring Experience: 3-4 years in IT support, system administration, or similar roles. Google Workspace: Advanced knowledge in Google Admin Console and Workspace administration. Project Management: Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud and Atlassian tools administration. Networking: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting fundamentals. Operating Systems: Strong administration knowledge on macOS (knowledge of Windows is a plus). Software Management: Experience in software deployment, license management, and application support. Languages: Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal communication). Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience. Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
