Job Summary A leadership role at Equinix means you will drive and collaborate on work that impacts the world. This role provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled support staff. You will act as a guide to the unit or sub-units and may become actively involved as needed to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsibilities Ensure safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods for Equinix and its customers. Receive work assignments that are process-driven, with a moderate level of control and review. Guide subordinates on actions based on established policies and procedures. Contribute to managing costs related to the unit or sub-unit. Maintain relationships with government entities such as Zona Franca Bogota and DIAN. Quality Assurance Use systems to maintain accurate records and interrogate systems for queries. Record all goods received in the inventory system, update databases, and ensure order requirements are met. Ensure the accuracy of supporting documentation. Management Supervise team learning, performance, and development. Make decisions to ensure compliance with delivery, collection, and safety policies. Assist in organizing, planning, and implementing strategies. Assign tasks and monitor work regularly. Maintain team schedules and workflows. Support LATAM region countries with inbound and outbound shipments. Policies/Methods Plan and implement improvements to logistics systems and processes. Develop site strategies aligned with business objectives and customer satisfaction. Implement processes to maintain stock levels. Improve warehouse operations using lean practices. Compliance Monitor stock levels and conduct scheduled audits to ensure efficient logistics management. Enhance warehouse operations through lean practices and procedures. Data Center Management Supervise data center equipment and inventory. Guide teams to meet schedules and resolve issues. Liaise with suppliers on inventory and create POM orders. Define and improve KPI metrics and report regularly to senior management. Vendor Management Review vendor performance and identify improvement areas. Collaborate with procurement to optimize material purchasing. Reporting Produce reports on inventory levels and shipments for various stakeholders. Provide insights on department performance to facilitate decision-making. Act as the interface in managers' absence and prepare reports for government entities. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in foreign trade, import/export, or related field. Supply chain specialization or additional studies preferred. Hazardous materials certification or H&S qualification preferred. Knowledge in trade compliance, logistics management, market research, and strong communication skills, including cross-cultural negotiation. Financial knowledge and understanding of international trade law, adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Language Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese is desirable. Equinix is an equal opportunity employer.
