We’re searching for a Health & Safety Coordinator to be responsible for continuously improving Health & Safety policies, focusing on the prevention of occupational injuries and illnesses, as well as planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs/methods in regards to employee health plans. **As Health & Safety Coordinator, You Will** - Represent 24-7 Intouch as the prime internal and external contact for any issues or emergencies related to Health & Safety - Conduct briefings and technical meetings for employees regarding Health & Safety issues - Ensure policies meet compliance and legal requirements - Develop and manage comprehensive employee Health & Safety program development (including ergonomic injury reduction, industrial safety management, waste management, air emissions and wastewater discharge) - Establish systems for monitoring workplace safety risks and environmental impacts by analyzing work processes, materials, equipment and the work habits of employees - Identify areas (potential or existing) of non-compliance through audits and inspections - Develop and implement training programs for employees in areas such as hazardous material safety, handling emergency response and waste management - Be responsible for emergency response, spill response and disaster preparedness plans, materials and equipment - Oversee the Emergency Response Team to ensure appropriate training drills and equipment are prepared - Monitor employee exposure to chemicals, toxic substances and physical hazards including industrial hygiene (IH) sampling - Coordinate activities with industrial hygienists and other safety consultants as required - Act as the point of contact with the Ministry of Labor and Environment for all matters related to environmental Health & Safety - Utilize data analysis to develop and design solutions to resolve complex regulatory issues - Supervise and mentor staff to complete assigned projects, overall budget, schedules and performance standards **Requirements**: **As Health & Safety Coordinator, You Have** - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Must have license in EHS (required) - Post-secondary degree in Life Science, or related career with professional card in occupational health (preferred) - Minimum 5+ years of experience in environmental Health & Safety in Colombia (a combination of relevant education and experience in environmental Health & Safety will be considered) - A B2 English Level - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - The ability to multitask - Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical, information-management and decision-making skills - Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills to complete work in a timely manner - Superior attention to detail with an eye for accuracy re: data entry - The ability to work both independently and in a team setting within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment - An investigative mindset to proactively search for information as needed Any and all personal information collected is held in the strictest confidence and in accordance with all applicable Privacy Laws.
