We help Western companies manufacture and source products in China, and sell goods in Canada and the USA (primarily through Amazon and other online platforms). Our remote team spans the globe, including long-standing team members in Canada, Colombia, China, Europe, and the Philippines. Job Summary: We’re looking for a Fractional HR Professional to help strengthen and guide our team through structure, accountability, and people-first processes. This role is part-time but critical, and suited for someone with strong HR experience in Western-facing companies , a proactive mindset, and a friendly yet assertive approach. You should be well-versed in all things HR—able to guide hiring and onboarding, coach employees, create accountability structures, and act as a thoughtful, firm intermediary between leadership and the broader team. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end hiring and onboarding processes Train new team members and support ongoing learning & development Set up KPIs and follow up with team members regularly Conduct performance reviews and manage feedback loops Monitor time tracking, attendance, and productivity Help implement payroll processes and salary adjustments (liaising with bookkeeping) Coordinate team building activities and promote a healthy company culture Act as a proactive and constructive intermediary between management and team Stay on top of HR compliance best practices , employee files, and contracts Develop and enforce SOPs, internal policies , and systems for accountability Identify potential problems early and propose actionable solutions proactively Assist with exit interviews , conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans Stay informed about labor practices , especially for Filipino and international contractors You are: MUST HAVE: Experienced: 5+ years in HR or people operations, including with Western companies Strong spoken and written English Assertive but kind: you can push for accountability with empathy Technically adept: you’re comfortable with project management tools, HR software, and spreadsheets A self-starter: no need for hand-holding—you identify gaps and take initiative Process-oriented: you love structure, documentation, and clarity Personable: great at communicating clearly and professionally, across cultures Trustworthy and discreet: you know how to handle sensitive information Highly preferred: Experience managing remote international teams Exposure to ecommerce, sourcing, or creative/digital agencies Background in coaching or people development Location: Remote Time Commitment: Fractional (approximately 25 hours/month to start). Looking for long term commitment.
