CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - HEALTHCARE GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 / year Project Location: Columbia, South Carolina Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite) Seeking multiple motivated and experienced Construction Managers – Sr Architect Engineers (CM-Sr A/E) with construction program technical education and experience to join us in an infrastructure upgrade project at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. Candidates will report to a Program Manager and collaborate with VA client staff to provide data, generate reports, and represent the client on major healthcare construction projects. Responsibilities Provide leadership and mentorship, managing one or multiple projects. Set clear direction regarding business, technical, and personnel management across multidisciplinary activities. Learn, teach, and implement industry, client, and internal best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in healthcare environments. Lead and mentor professional teams and act as an advisor/liaison with clients, design teams, contractors, and facility engineers. Support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts through construction management services. Manage project quality, cost, and schedule. Monitor financial data and project budgets. Maintain project schedules and coordinate construction activities and transitions. Oversee daily progress and inspection reports, ensuring effective oversight. Manage project documentation, testing, inspection, and commissioning services. Identify and mitigate risks impacting medical facilities or patient care. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, or 15 years of related experience. Experience: Minimum 7 years in managing facility construction projects, including supervision, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project management. Licensing: None required. Safety: OSHA 30 certification. Leadership: Ability to manage diverse personnel skillsets. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Federal healthcare projects. Certifications such as CCM, CQM, or PMP.
