As **Compensation and Benefits Manager (**C&B; Manager)** **you will be responsible for developing Compensation & Benefits solutions, plan design, execution and coordination of related C&B; activities within a category or geography of responsibility. Ensures design and delivery of global/regional programs that create and maximize shareholder value. **Responsibilities**: - Manage and participate in local and regional projects together with other members of the C&B; community to prepare compensation materials, salary assessments, benefit re-design and market analysis. - Manage and support the continued development, rollout and maintenance of job and salary structures in an external system used by the company. - Participate in and use compensation surveys to regularly analyze our market position on jobs and to determine appropriate market ranges to give the appropriate recommendation for the countries - Looking for innovation and best practices, related to C&B; program that includes Benefit and Wellbeing Programs and propose new design or changes when needed, to keep the competitiveness of the local benefit package. - Manage and assess short-incentive programs, ensuring alignment with Company pay philosophy and balanced with external market competitiveness - Attend Pharmaceutical Industry survey meetings, providing feedback on survey design, ensuring alignment with the scope of Company roles - Ongoing communication and training of local HR and Talent Acquisition partners to ensure understanding of global rewards philosophy, programs and policies - Ensure compliance with corporate C&B; policies, programs and guidelines **Education Minimum Requirement**: - B.S. or B.A. in HR or business administration or equivalent work experience **Required Experience and Skills**: - Minimum 3 years work experience in HR and Compensation/Benefits area in Industry or Consultant Firm. - Ability to collate large amounts of data from multiple sources, analyze and coalesce the data to develop recommendation - International / Global business experience and cultural sensitivity - Ability to adapt to the changing needs of customers and the business - Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish - Strong capability in Project Manager and work with multi-cultural teams **Extent of Travel**: - Occasionally to meet clients and participate in key meeting within region; less than 15% of time within supported geography. - No relocation granted **Who we are** We are known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, New Jersey, USA in the United States and Canada and MSD everywhere else.
