Job Description The Wan Lab at the Bond Life Sciences Center is seeking applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow in Immunology at the Influenza Systems Biology Laboratory and the Center for Influenza and Emerging Infectious Diseases at the University of Missouri. Our lab is affiliated with multiple departments and institutes, including the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, College of Medicine; Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, College of Engineering; Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine; and MU Institute for Data Science and Informatics. The Wan Lab holds over $28 million in grant funding. The lab focuses on emerging infectious diseases like influenza viruses and SARS-CoV-2, using integrated laboratory, clinical, and computational approaches. It has access to regional BSL-3 and ABSL-3 biocontainment laboratories at the Laboratory for Infectious Diseases Research. The position involves conducting research on multiple grants, including studying the impact of pre-existing immunity on vaccine responses and virus transmission, evaluating vaccine protection correlates, and developing strategies to improve vaccine efficacy using systems biology methods such as single-cell RNA sequencing in human and animal models. The candidate will be responsible for documenting methods and results, performing experiments, analyzing data, and preparing manuscripts. The work schedule is regular hours, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for weekends and evenings as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
