About Scale Army We’re a fast-paced team helping U.S. companies grow top-tier offshore talent in sales, marketing, and operations. We’re scaling rapidly and are looking for a Head of Operations to help us move smarter, scale faster, and prepare for the next phase of growth. This is a high-impact role, reporting directly to our CEO. In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, manage recruiting, track operational metrics, handle AR/AP and bookkeeping, and provide strategic financial leadership alongside our bookkeeping team and fractional CFO. This position is ideal for someone who has excelled in an ops role at a B2B company, has touched finance, and is ready to lead company-wide operations. The Role You’ll partner with the CEO, owning our operational health and ensuring smooth financial processes. You’ll manage a team of 5 direct reports, overseeing 15 others, with the goal of enabling smarter decision-making through data, planning, and streamlined processes. This role is a stepping stone to becoming a COO, either here or elsewhere. What You’ll Do - Operational Oversight: Oversee recruiting, improve processes, lead automation initiatives, and develop internal documentation. - Build and maintain dashboards to track KPIs across recruiting, financial, and operational metrics. - Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on growth strategies, forecasting, and capacity planning. - Automate workflows using tools like Zapier, HubSpot, ClickUp, and Slack. - Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support growth and profitability. - Lead bookkeeping and AR/AP teams, ensuring accurate invoicing and collections. - Develop pricing strategies, evaluate cost structures, and analyze ROI to optimize margins. - Review financials, interpret data, and provide insights to leadership. - Create real-time dashboards in Google Sheets or Excel for performance tracking. Who You Are - 5-8 years of experience managing operations teams in a B2B environment, with at least 3 years leading 5+ direct reports. - At least 2 years of experience in finance or financial management. - Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting, expert in Google Sheets/Excel. - Tech-savvy with experience in HubSpot, ClickUp/Asana, Zapier, and similar tools. - A strategic thinker and hands-on executor. - Excellent communicator, able to present operational and financial insights clearly. - Experience in recruiting/staffing, SaaS, or B2B services preferred. - Willing to undertake cognitive assessments in math, verbal skills, and attention to detail. - Ability to speak quickly—non-negotiable.
