Position Overview: As a Senior Java Developer in our Colombian team, you will lead the development of advanced server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies. Your role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, adhering to CI&T;'s mission of Collaboration, Innovation & Transformation, and mentoring junior team members to promote learning and growth. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and deploy scalable server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services. 2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with client needs. 3. Optimize application performance through enhancements and scalability improvements. 4. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 5. Ensure the use of Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development principles in software projects. 6. Implement database integrations using Spring JDBC template, JPA, and Hibernate. Must-Have Skills: - Proficiency in Core Java 1.8 or above, and Java Spring Boot. - Experience with RESTful/JSON web services, JUnit, Mockito, and CI tools like Jenkins. - Strong understanding of design principles like SOLID and DRY. - Experience with messaging frameworks and database systems. - Proficiency in Git, Unix/Linux environments, and IntelliJ IDE. Nice-to-Have Skills: - Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure. - Knowledge of profiling tools and international software development, including multi-lingual and multi-currency systems.
