Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Analyst with expertise in the U.S logistics and transportation industries, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks across our warehouse operations, distribution centers, and transportation networks. The Safety Analyst will play a key role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and will drive the implementation of safety programs that enhance operational efficiency and minimize accidents. Responsibilities: Safety Program Management : Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and initiatives to reduce incidents and improve safety performance. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FMCSA, DOT, OSHA) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving safety regulations and industry best practices. Training and Development: Provide or coordinate training for drivers, dispatchers, and other fleet personnel on safety protocols, regulatory changes, and proper driving practices to foster a culture of safety. Driver Performance Management: Monitor driver behavior through telematics, onboard cameras, and other technologies. Address unsafe driving practices and ensure proper coaching or corrective action. Data Analysis and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key safety metrics, including accident rates, driver performance, and regulatory compliance. Provide recommendations to senior management based on data trends. Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess potential safety risks within the regional operations and develop strategies to mitigate them, including the use of technology, policy changes, and process improvements. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the operations team, fleet maintenance, human resources, and compliance departments to align safety initiatives with overall business goals. Lead safety meetings and foster an environment of open communication around safety concerns. Qualifications: High School Education or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation safety management, with a focus on trucking or logistics, is a must. English B2 or higher is a must. Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA (transportation safety regulations.) Experience with fleet management systems, telematics, onboard cameras, and other technologies used to monitor driver behavior and vehicle safety. Not required but preferred qualifications: Certifications such as Certified Director of Safety (CDS) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are a plus. Previous experience managing or leading safety across multiple regions or fleets. *Please note: we are only accepting resumes in English.
