Quality Assurance Leader for Payment Systems We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to lead and grow our QA function, define best practices, and instill engineering accountability across teams. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on execution, discipline, and excellence. You will design and implement core platform services including card issuing, transaction processing, APIs, and integrations. Key Responsibilities: - Build and manage a team of QA engineers focused on manual and automated testing across services. - Define and enforce testing standards across all squads, including automation, regression coverage, bug triage, and release gates. - Implement automation frameworks for API and UI testing using modern tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and Playwright. - Enforce quality gates in CI/CD workflows and ensure release readiness with zero tolerance for shortcuts. - Own quality KPIs, including defect escape rate, test coverage, and cycle time, and present them regularly to leadership. - Run structured post-mortems for any production failures - QA owns prevention, not just detection. Requirements: - Fluent in either Spanish or Portuguese and English (verbal and written). - 7+ years in QA, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role. - Experience working on payment platforms or regulated fintech systems is highly preferred. - Deep understanding of QA disciplines across API, UI, backend, and integration testing. - Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks. - Experience implementing test coverage in CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent communicator able to hold engineers accountable without conflict and clearly explain quality issues to leadership. - Highly organized and disciplined, bringing structure, following process, and improving operational excellence.
