The Role We are looking for a talented and business-savvy Legal Counsel to join our growing team in Colombia. This is a hybrid position based in Bogotá that plays a critical role in supporting our regional operations from a legal and compliance perspective. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Colombian corporate and financial regulations, and ideally some exposure to fintech, crypto, or digital finance. Key Responsibilities - Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, entity management, and regulatory requirements specific to Colombia - Support with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, NDAs, employment contracts, and vendor relationships - Assist with local compliance filings, registrations, and regulatory communications - Coordinate with external law firms and regulatory bodies as needed - Advise internal teams on risk management, privacy, and legal implications of new services or partnerships - Support cross-border legal operations and help implement global legal policies at the local level - Contribute to internal legal process improvements and knowledge management Requirements - Law degree and license to practice in Colombia - 3–5+ years of experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law (preferably in financial services or fintech) - Strong knowledge of Colombian legal and compliance frameworks - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, hybrid environment - Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (written and spoken) - Comfortable working across international teams and time zones Nice to Have - Experience working in or advising crypto, fintech, or digital asset companies - Familiarity with data protection laws and compliance (Habeas Data, etc.) - Knowledge of AML/KYC regulations applicable to financial institutions in Colombia What We Offer - Competitive salary and benefits package - Hybrid work model (home office + Bogotá-based meetings as needed) - Opportunities for regional and global exposure in a fast-growing company - Performance-based bonuses - Dynamic, mission-driven team environment Ready to help shape the future of digital finance in Latin America?
