Job Description Sutherland is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to implement, customize, and integrate our Fraud Detection and Anti-Money Laundering solutions from NICE Actimize Premier. The role requires a strong technical background in software development, customer interaction, and project execution. The candidate will collaborate with R&D, Data Science, and Customer Support teams to deliver solutions to financial institutions. The Professional Services Engineer performs duties including: Developing, configuring, and implementing software features per design documents and standards. Managing technical planning and execution of customer projects for successful deployment. Engaging with customers to resolve technical queries and support user acceptance testing. Identifying and mitigating project dependencies and risks in collaboration with internal teams. Working with Engineering to develop third-party integrations and optimize deployment processes. Collaborating with Data Scientists on creating and deploying Machine Learning models. Leading technical discussions, presenting updates, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders. Providing deployment updates to management via reports and dashboards. Occasionally working on-site with clients or across time zones as needed. Qualifications Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3-5+ years in Professional Services or Software Development roles. Proficiency in Python, SQL, PL/SQL, and database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle). Experience with Unix commands and shell scripting . Knowledge of Cloud (AWS preferred), DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes), and ETL processes . Understanding of Web Services, REST APIs, networking, and web technologies . Strong problem-solving skills with large datasets and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and organizational skills for technical translation. Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Data Science and Machine Learning. Knowledge of financial systems, banking technologies, and fraud/risk compliance solutions. Experience with Actimize (AIS/RCM/UDM) is a plus.
