About the IT Automation Engineer Junior Job Description: - Location: Fully remote, Central Europe Time Zone - Languages: English is mandatory The IT Automation Engineer Junior will support automation initiatives using Ansible and other tools. They must have proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell, programming in Python, C#, and relevant languages for automation. Duties and Responsibilities: - Gather functional and technical requirements for basic automation tasks and document them - Assist in developing and configuring automation scripts using Ansible and other tools - Support building scripts in required scripting language to automate tasks - Understand and utilize APIs and data formats like JSON and YAML for automation tasks - Document automation processes and provide technical support - Participate in testing and validation of automation scripts and tools - Provide support for the Automation platform and related tools following Standard Operating Procedures Required Qualifications & Experience: - Proficiency with Ansible and other IT automation tools - Programming experience in Python, C#, and relevant languages for automation - Understanding of APIs and data formats like JSON and YAML - Knowledge of IT administration in areas including network, storage, backup, OS administration, virtualization, server management, web/app administration, Kubernetes, database administration, and cloud administration - Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud for automation tasks - Working with CI/CD pipelines and understanding DevSecOps concepts - Experience creating and deploying containers
