Job Description As a Data Engineer , you will design and maintain seamless data integrations, ensure quality and consistency across systems, and collaborate with global teams to support data-driven decision-making in the international education space. Job Overview Employment type: Indefinite term type contract Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 a.m. – 05:00 p.m. (COL time) Work setup: Hybrid, Bogotá and Medellin Your Daily Tasks Design, develop, and maintain data system integrations and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) operations Ensure enforcement of data integrity and data quality standards Collaborate with stakeholder teams across business functions (e.g., Operations, Finance, Enrollment) to draft clear and complete business requirements Test and support data solutions Implement and monitor effective process controls to proactively address issues Troubleshoot data management issues and identify opportunities for process improvement Author and update technical documentation Requirements The Qualifications We Seek Basic experience in information systems development and maintenance, specifically with relational databases (e.g., Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools (e.g., Jitterbit Harmony, Oracle Warehouse Builder, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, CloverETL, Informatica, Azure Data Factory) 3+ years of experience writing queries and procedures in Microsoft SQL Server Basic experience using RPA-driven tools Basic experience working with Salesforce, Dynamics CRM, or other cloud-based information systems Basic experience using Ellucian Banner Student (or similar SIS) and academic systems such as Blackboard or Slate 3+ years of experience in software development (custom software solutions, web-based front ends, etc.) Basic experience in IT project management, including requirements assessment, scoping, resource planning, timeline development, and technical documentation Basic familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira, Confluence) Proven ability to multitask and work effectively in a collaborative team environment Willingness to coordinate occasional meetings with global team members outside traditional time zone hours Benefits Exciting Perks Await! 5 days work week Weekends off Indefinite term type contract Hybrid work arrangement 20 vacation days in total (5 extra leaves convertible to cash) Prepaid medicine Fully-customized Emapta laptop and peripherals Direct exposure to our clients Career growth opportunities Diverse and supportive work environment Prime Office Locations - Bogotá and Medellin Unlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy courses (Want to know more?
