We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RFE Paralegal to join our team at Lisinski Law Firm. About the Role The successful candidate will work closely with our legal support staff and attorneys on tasks including drafting, fact-finding projects, and revisions for cases submitted to USCIS that require additional evidence. This role requires strong organizational skills, experience editing coverage letters and other documents, and a passion to help as many individuals as possible. We prefer candidates who are bilingual in both English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities: - Perform thorough case reviews of returned documents to identify inconsistencies that require attorney attention. - Analyze case documents to ensure accuracy. - Review FBI background check requests, state police clearance records, and FOIA records. - Coordinate with RFE Document Specialists to communicate with clients, obtain necessary documents, and draft cover letters, RFE responses, and other requests to support filing RFE responses. - Provide creative solutions to overcome client obstacles and draft legal plans. - Review final submission packets for attorney review. Qualifications - Strong knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and procedures. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Strong attention to detail, especially when handling legal documents. - Ability to manage multiple cases or tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines to ensure client satisfaction. - Experience with VAWA, T-Visa, U-Visa, Asylum, Medical DA, I-601, Adjustment of Status, DS-260, and DS-160 applications is preferred. - Computer skills, proficient with MS Office or similar programs including Adobe, Dropbox, Salesforce, Document Management systems. Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent experience. - Associates degree in paralegal studies or related field or paralegal certification is preferred. Relevant experience as an immigration paralegal in a law firm may be substituted for the degree requirement. - At least one year's experience as a paralegal in family-based or humanitarian immigration is required. - Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred.
