The Finance function at Everest is expanding to support the growth of the International Insurance business. The Latin America FP&A Manager will report to the International Head of FP&A and work closely with the Regional Head of Finance for Latin America. This role involves partnering with key stakeholders, managing the underwriting P&L for Latin America, leading planning and forecasting cycles, and developing scalable analysis to enhance business growth, efficiency, and automation. A focus on systems, processes, and data is essential to improve forecasting, planning, and variance analysis. Key responsibilities: Leading the delivery of the plan, forecast, and close processes for the underwriting P&L, ensuring alignment with regulatory submissions. Leading and mentoring the Latin America FP&A team. Producing and presenting quarterly results to regional stakeholders. Partnering with cost center owners to manage operating expenses and maintain relevant trackers. Identifying, investigating, and resolving variances against plans and forecasts. Developing variance analysis reports and enhancing financial performance models, including improvements to Anaplan. Escalating financial issues to management and stakeholders. Setting KPIs and business objectives, and recommending strategies for underwriting results improvement. Creating MI and commentary for management by country, product, and function. Supporting business decision-making with financial insights. Building strong stakeholder relationships. Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as needed. Qualifications, Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accountancy preferred; related analytical disciplines considered. Professional accounting qualification required. At least 5 years of FP&A experience in an insurance organization in Latin America. Knowledge, Skills & Competences: Strong organizational and time management skills. Managerial experience. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Anaplan or similar tools is advantageous. Analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills. Stakeholder management and business partnering skills. Negotiation skills for win-win solutions. Self-starter with ability to work independently and in teams. Excellent communication skills.
