The Data and Analytics team at TelevisaUnivision for VIX Streaming is looking for a Data Engineer to join our team! - We are looking for an data engineer who will be working in the streaming organization and interacting with both internal data engineering and analytics teams and external enterprise data engineering teams to build next generation data solutions on the GCP and Snowflake. - This is an exciting opportunity to work with high volume, high velocity streaming analytical data and to build data pipelines using Google Composer and manage and maintain Data warehouses and Data lakes on Big Query and Snowflake. - This position reports to the Senior Director of Analytics Engineering for streaming transformation and visualization. - ABOUT YOU: - Ability to thrive in a high pressure and rapidly changing, less structured environment - Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain focus and confidentiality - Strong collaboration and relationship building ability - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Full professional proficiency in English - YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: - Build and maintain big data ETL pipelines using DBT and Airflow - Build, manage, and maintain data transformation processes in Snowflake and Big Query - Perform code reviews - Enhance and maintain STAR schema analytics data warehouse - Collaborate with visualization developers to build data marts for reporting layer - Mentor other team members - YOU HAVE: - 5 or more years of experience in data engineering - GCP or Snowflake certificate, a plus - Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or Equivalent - Demonstrated knowledge of building and owning reliable end to end data pipelines - Demonstrated experience with GCP and Snowflake - Demonstrated understanding of Airflow and Google Composer - Demonstrated understanding of Big Query, Google Storage, Snowflake - Demonstrated understanding of Datawarehouse best practices including Relational and Dimensional Modeling - Demonstrated understanding of SQL, Python - Demonstrated experience in supporting data pipelines and data warehouses - Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Familiarity with git and CI/CD deployment OUR BENEFITS: TelevisaUnivision believes that a happy, well-balanced employee is what makes our culture thrive.
