Role Purpose The Ground Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing ground transportation operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of shipments. This role focuses on optimizing processes, managing resources, and leading a diverse team to deliver exceptional service quality. The manager will collaborate with various departments to enhance operational performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and the compliance of the business rules. Main Accountabilities · Manage and optimize ground transportation operations to meet service standards and cost targets. · Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to achieve operational excellence, promoting a collaborative work environment and ensuring ongoing training. · Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ground services within the supply chain. · Ensures operations are driving quality through efficiency while adhering to compliance standards. · Prepares cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluates cost factors; recommends changes in Service Center pertaining to cost control and efficiency, as well as time and motion, work standards, work methods, personnel utilization, service, and quality. · Coordinates route management, ground network optimization in order to ensure productivity and compliance with operational standards. · Implement sustainable practices in logistics operations, seeking to reduce the carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency (Go green). · Other multifunctional support functions or projects to be define by Operation Vice President or the Area Office. Requirements · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master degree desired. · Languages: Native Spanish speaker with proficient English skills. · Proven experience leading large teams in a logistics environment. · Extensive experience operations within the logistics industry. · Strong knowledge of logistic regulations and compliance standards. · Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements and achieve operational goals. · Excellent communication and leadership skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making. · Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
