**Overview**: We are seeking an experienced freight forwarding professional with solid expertise in both ocean (FCL/LCL) and air logistics. This role is ideal for someone who has worked directly with maritime shipping lines and airlines and is confident managing full-cycle operations with independence and precision. **Key Responsibilities**: - Manage international shipments via ocean and air, from booking to final delivery. - Work directly with shipping lines and airlines for rate negotiations, bookings, and space allocation. - Ensure compliance with customs regulations and coordinate with customs brokers for clearances. - Prepare and review essential shipping documentation, including B/L, AWB, packing lists, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices. - Serve as the main point of contact for clients, carriers, and agents, providing clear updates and proactively resolving issues. - Review and validate freight invoices, resolving discrepancies as needed. - Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs. - Determine the most suitable shipping method (air, ocean, rail, or multimodal) based on transit time, budget, and cargo characteristics. - Act as the primary liaison between clients, carriers, overseas agents, and internal teams, providing status updates, resolving exceptions, and maintaining high service standards. **Requirements**: - 5 to 10 years of experience in international freight forwarding. - Direct experience working with steamship lines and air carriers is required. - Strong knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, and international documentation. - Highly organized, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently. - Experience with freight management or tracking systems is a plus. **What We Offer**: - Competitive salary tailored to your experience and comprehensive benefits package. - Opportunity to work for an established, growing international logistics company. - A collaborative team culture with opportunities for professional growth in North America’s logistics industry.
