**Job Title:** Physician The University of Missouri-Columbia's Student Health Center (SHC) is seeking a full-time Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, accessible, and integrated health services to students. **Our Mission: - To deliver exceptional patient care in a safe and respectful environment **Job Description: We are looking for a physician who can diagnose and treat students in need of acute, chronic, and preventative care. The ideal candidate will have experience in college health, including working with diverse student populations regarding public health and well-being. **Responsibilities: - Provide direct care to MU SHC patients, including assessing and diagnosing patients, providing medical treatments, performing procedures, and prescribing medications as needed - Collaborate with the Medical Director and SHC Director on short- and long-term strategic planning for medical services - Represent SHC in external engagements as requested by the Medical Director or SHC Director - Act as a collaborating physician for nurse practitioners and supervising physician for physician assistants as assigned - Participate in quality improvement and risk management efforts, including reviewing records and provider documentation - Contribute to a collaborative environment at the SHC, ensuring students and patients receive exceptional care in an extraordinarily caring environment **Requirements: - A valid license to practice medicine in the State of Missouri - Successful completion of an allopathic or osteopathic residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), along with board certification, or evidence of active pursuit of board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine **Preferred Qualifications: - A proven commitment to student-centered care - A collaborative, whole center, team-based approach to provide exceptional healthcare and ensure a top-tier student experience - Experience in college health, including working with diverse student populations regarding public health and well-being - Familiarity and comfort with electronic health records (EHR) systems, Microsoft platforms, along with strong computer skills - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and colleagues **Work Schedule: This position requires a regular Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional evening and weekend hours supporting activities and programs within the department.
