Responsibilities Incident Response: Lead triage, investigation, and resolution of security incidents, including detailed post-incident reporting. Proactive Monitoring: Develop and optimize detection rules across security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR) to enhance threat visibility. Email Security: Detect, analyze, and mitigate phishing threats while enforcing email security best practices. Metrics & Reporting: Generate ad-hoc reports on security metrics to inform decision-making and compliance. SME Risk-Review Support: Assess IT policy exceptions, evaluate associated risks, and provide actionable recommendations. Threat Hunting: Employ unstructured methods to identify advanced threats and vulnerabilities within the environment. Forensics: Preserve, collect, and analyze digital evidence during investigations. Live-Fire/Tabletop Exercises: Participate in red team exercises and incident simulations to strengthen organizational readiness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus. 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or SOC environments.
