Sierra Space is in the process of developing a certification program for program managers. The objective of the program is to provide training and targeted job experience for Program Managers to manage progressively complex programs. The Sierra Space Program Management Center of Excellence is seeking a Sr. Instructional Design Specialist to work with the Program Management Training Academy personnel to develop specialized advanced program management curriculum and training modules for each of the tiers. Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Learn more about Sierra Space Must-haves: - Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Instructional or Graphic Design, or related field of study and typically 10+ years of related work experience - Relevant experience beyond 10+ years may be considered in lieu of required education- Extensive knowledge of Instructional Design and Adult Learning principles- Extensive experience managing high level stakeholders and SMEs- Extensive experience managing training projects from analysis to evaluation- Extensive experience creating compliance or process training in a highly regulated environment- Extensive working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate) and ability to teach others how to use these tools- Ability to coach and mentor peers and junior team members- Extensive background in needs analysis and evaluation of training effectiveness- Experience with LMSes (Workday, Cornerstone, etc.) Preferred: - Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Instructional or Graphic Design, or related field of study- Learning or Instructional Design Certificate (e.g. Adult Learning Certificate, ATD Instructional Design Certificate, etc.)- Experience with audio and/or video production- Experience in project management and strategic planning.- Experience in creating and designing learning programs for a business professional audience.- Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholder groups.- Experience building curriculum for different business roles in order to focus on skill gaps / opportunities.- Experience in the Project Management Body of Knowledge- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.- Learn more about the background check process for Security ClearancesIMPORTANT NOTICE: To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
