What’s the mission you’ll drive Lead Addi's transition to a licensed financial entity by establishing and managing a flawless SFC regulatory reporting framework, ensuring 100% compliance and accuracy from day one, safeguarding our banking license and enabling our continued hyper-growth What you will do - Architect and Implement the Reporting System: Within the first 6 months, lead the vendor selection, contract negotiation, and implementation of the core regulatory reporting software. Ensure the system is fully configured, tested, and ready to produce all required reports 90 days before the target launch date. - Develop and Codify All Reporting Policies: By T-minus 3 months to launch, author, document, and gain Board/Committee approval for the bank's comprehensive Regulatory Reporting Policies and Procedures, establishing a clear governance and control framework from the outset. - Establish Data Lineage and Governance for Reporting: In partnership with the core banking and data architecture teams, map all critical data elements required for regulatory filings. Establish and validate data feeds, ensuring data integrity from the source systems to the final reports before the first transaction occurs. - Successfully File All Inaugural Reports: Achieve a 100% on-time and accurate submission of all required inaugural regulatory reports post-launch (with zero errors or regulatory follow-ups.) - Build the Foundation for a Lean, Scalable Team: Create a detailed 18-month roadmap for the regulatory reporting function, including a hiring plan, process automation strategy, and a control framework that can scale with the bank’s projected growth. What we’re looking for - Deep, hands-on experience leading and implementing regulatory functions - 5-8+ years of experience directly in a regulatory reporting function within a bank or a top-tier financial services consulting firm. - Direct, hands-on experience leading the implementation of a major regulatory reporting platform (e.g., Wolters Kluwer OneSumX, AxiomSL, Verafin, etc.). - Deep expertise in interpreting Colombia banking regulations and translating them into technical and operational requirements. - Outstanding Financial Reporting & Accounting Acumen skills - Strong grasp of local GAAP, with a track record of managing financial control frameworks in regulated environments. - Deep, hands-on experience with core banking regulatory reports under SFC methodology. - Expert-level proficiency with regulatory reporting software (e.g., Wolters Kluwer OneSumX, AxiomSL, or similar platforms) and advanced skills in Excel. Experience with SQL for data querying is a significant plus. - Deep knowledge of Colombian banking regulations and hands-on experience preparing and submitting SFC reports, with a focus on current SFC circulars and frameworks. - Solid Builder & Architect Mentality - Strong ability to design and execute on a vision in a "greenfield" environment with high ambiguity and minimal existing resources. Thrives on creating processes, controls, and frameworks where none exist - Continuously seeks out inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the reporting process and implements improvements to make the function more robust, scalable, and less reliant on manual intervention. - Own the end-to-end implementation plan for the reporting system, coordinate with vendors, IT, Finance, and Risk, - Proven ability to design and optimize compliance processes, manage cross-functional initiatives, and coordinate resources under strict deadlines. - Proactive & Deeply Analytical Problem-Solving - Anticipates future challenges and designs solutions for them today. Goes beyond routine report preparation to dissect complex regulations, anticipate potential reporting issues, and analyze data to find root causes of discrepancies. - Can interpret complex regulations and translate them into concrete data and system requirements for a bank that is not yet operational. - Will meticulously document every policy, control, and data mapping decision, creating a clear and defensible audit trail for regulators from Day 1. - Exceptional Influence and stakeholder management - Great ability to persuade and align other functional leaders (e.g., CTO, CFO) to prioritize tasks that are critical for regulatory compliance, even when they compete with other pre-launch priorities. - Effectively communicate the non-negotiable data and system requirements for regulatory reporting, ensuring they are built into the bank's core infrastructure from the beginning. - Comfortable engaging with regulators, auditors, and executive leadership; excels in explaining complex regulations in clear, actionable terms.
