Cybersecurity Specialist Education and Skills A Bachelor in Computer Science or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in IT. At least 2 years of experience in IT Security. Familiarity with basic security concepts: CIA triad, least privileges, need-to-know, defense-in-depth, AuthZ, AuthN, RBAC, fail securely, avoid “security by obscurity”, data security "at rest" and "in transit". Good architectural knowledge of at least one leading cloud provider, such as Azure. Understanding of IT Security domains: security and risk management, asset security, security architecture and engineering, communications and network security, identity and access management, security assessment and testing. Knowledge of Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) solutions is advantageous. Basic knowledge of security technologies like SIEM, SOAR, IDAM, DLP, IAM, PIM/PUM, DLP; hands-on experience with at least one is a plus. Understanding of cryptography primitives and key management best practices. Certifications in cloud security are advantageous: CCSK (Cloud Security Alliance) CCSP (ISC)2 and CSA AZ-500 (Microsoft) SCS-C01 (AWS) PCSE (Google) Certifications like CISSP or CASP+ are beneficial. Strong presentation skills for communicating with non-technical audiences. Ability to work autonomously and lead tasks from start to finish is essential.
