Job Title: Senior Data Engineer We are a rapidly expanding lean-tech organization with one of the most influential networks in software development and IT services for the entertainment, financial, and logistics sectors. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a key player in modernizing legacy data infrastructure by leveraging cloud-first tools and best practices to support high-impact transformations. The role involves collaborating with expansive engineering teams across Latin America and the United States, contributing to cutting-edge developments in multiple industries. Key Responsibilities: - Data Pipeline Development: Build and manage robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Dbt for orchestrating data transformations. - Snowflake Expertise: Lead or contribute to Snowflake data modeling and development, enabling scalable and performant cloud data warehousing. - Python Development: Use Python to support data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks across data workflows. - Legacy System Modernization: Assist in modernizing data systems by supporting the transition away from mainframe architecture. - Client-Facing Delivery: Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with evolving requirements and project objectives. - Performance Optimization: Solve challenges related to warehouse capacity by enabling new capabilities in Snowflake and Azure. Requirements & Qualifications: - 8–10 years of overall experience in data engineering or analytics. - At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SQL and data modeling. - Solid experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and the Azure Data Engineering stack. - Strong proficiency with Dbt for data transformation and modeling workflows. - Python skills for data engineering tasks and custom logic. - Experience working with large-scale migration or modernization projects. - Strong communication skills and experience working in client-facing roles. Desired Skills: - Experience working in or with insurance industry data systems. - Understanding of mainframe-to-cloud data migration strategies. - Familiarity with warehouse limitations and strategies to overcome storage constraints. - Knowledge of data governance and security practices in cloud platforms.
