To us, diversity isn"t a metric—it"s a must!This is a full-time, onsite position at our Manizales studio, beginning once the studio is established.Generalist Engineer"s at BSG…Supported by Senior and Lead Engineers, the Generalist Engineer will solve tough technical challenges in a high energy environment with experienced industry leaders and a highly collaborative team.The ideal candidate for this role has 2+ year's experience in Unreal Engine 4+ using C++ and an eagerness to explore other game engines and programming languages.Role And ResponsibilitiesCreate high-performance, robust, maintainable code in a cross-platform environmentEvaluate existing technology architecturesExtend existing systems to meet long-term needs of ongoing developmentWork with external development partnersAdhere to team coding standards and practiceRequired to work independently and report to a managerOther relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned to help complete company or department objectivesQualifications And Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent professional experience2+ year professional experience as a programmer2+ year of professional or independent video game experiencePreferred SkillsFluent in C/C++Familiar with C, C#, HTML, Java, or HLSL/GLSLSolid understanding of multi-threaded programmingEffective communicator in a team-oriented environmentExperience with the current PC development processFamiliar with contemporary engines and platformsPlusesUnreal Engine 5 experienceMobile or native Android development experienceA passion for video games and game developmentPrevious experience with rendering, graphics, or optimizationBlind Squirrel Entertainment, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
