Job Summary As a Senior Software Engineer, you will solution, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance our content authoring product, Composer. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. This role reports to the Engineering Manager of Composer. Motivation - You are excited about following best practices in front-end development and translating - that excitement into building thoughtful UI components that are configurable and reusable. - You champion the front-end work the team is doing and actively promote it across teams. - You are eager to solve challenging problems and collaborate with the team to solution - You are comfortable in a remote team and promote transparency and collaboration - You own and see features/problems/issues through from start to finish **Responsibilities**: - Working closely with our Engineering Manager and Product Manager to implement - Composer’s technical roadmap. - Leading feature design and feature implementation on Arc’s Content editing suite of tools which our customers use to create and deliver stories/articles to hundreds of global - Building reusable React components used to manage stories/articles by Arc’s editorial systems and shared across teams. - Working closely with our Design team to build an accessible user-experience that delights our customers and their users. - Monitoring and supporting the behavior and performance of the Composer product and dependent services in production using tools like Pendo and Datadog. - Coaching and mentoring engineers on the team Qualifications: Must-Haves - Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React. - Strong proficiency in CSS. - Fluent in English Nice to Haves - Experience building reusable React components used by other teams or companies. - Experience instrumenting front-end code to analyze performance and correctness. - Experience with testing tools like Cypress.
