The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing business insight and analytical support to the GeoMarket Operations Controller or Country Finance Manager to ensure that each significant business decision is given proper financial consideration. Review results and profitability analysis relating to area of responsibility. Analyze and investigate trends and reports to GeoMarket Operations Controller. Perform general ledger accounting. Validate accounting by outsourced organizations, including pre-paid, accruals and allocations. Review cost allocation cycles and decide if changes are needed. Analyze results of allocation runs. Analyze and control investments, including CAPEX and projects, by managing project structures, performing project planning and budget assignment, managing project settlement rules, and monitoring project revenue and cost execution and closure. Request intercompany cost recharges as needed. Review revenue recognized through the period and reconcile against sales orders. Review deferred revenue not recognized due to lack of recognition criteria, and follow up. Understand revenue determination and accounting in accordance with RDS for nonroutine contracts. Review revenue, direct costs consumption and profitability reports for completeness, and report to GeoMarket. Review Product Cost Product Revenue (PCPR) margin and variance explanations, and report final results and analysis to GeoMarket. Finalize overall period-end results, investigate variances, negative trends or exposures, and report to GeoMarket. Execute internal controls in accordance with set control framework. Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Review balance sheet reconciliations and oversee clearing of open items by outsourced organizations, and certify completeness of balance sheet notes.
