About the Role As a Cloud Platform Engineer at Xebia, you will lead critical application migrations to cloud infrastructure for our clients. Responsibilities - Architect and execute application migrations to GCP – containerizing and deploying. - Lead migration initiatives from on-premises systems to modern cloud infrastructure. - Architect and execute live update strategies, managing planned downtimes with minimal business impact. - Manage multi-platform environments spanning Linux, Unix, and Windows systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migrations. Requirements - +5 years of experience in platform engineering or cloud infrastructure (GCP). - Strong expertise in application containerization (Docker, container security, optimization). - Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration and Helm package management. - Proven track record of successful application migration projects. - Experience with database administration and migration (Oracle, PostgreSQL). - Proficiency in Python, C, and Java programming languages. - Hands-on experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows environments. - Demonstrated expertise with web servers (Tomcat, Apache). - Strong background in API integration and development (REST, SOAP). - Experience with database connectors and optimization techniques. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams. - Self-motivated learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
