The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA. ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM Corporate Control Service team ensures the compliance of the SITA Group all over the world. The group accounting is managed centrally from Prague and Delhi while the compliance with the local GAAP is currently outsourced to local service providers. To ensure coherence and quality assurance of our local accounting, we are looking for a Manager Accounting Operations. This role will be to coordinate the transfer of the local accounting, currently on our service provider’s accounting system, to our ERP, Oracle for all countries in Latin America. Additionally, the candidate will design and execute strong internal control procedures to ensure compliance of local accounting with the local GAAP and regulation. WHAT YOU WILL DO Transfers to Oracle: - Review the existing reconciliation, identify sources of discrepancies. - Work with central accounting team to adjust the corporate accounting in such a way that it complies with the local GAAP (Spanish translation, FX issues, tax issue etc.). - Work with IT teams to create the necessary accounts, ledgers, translation tools. - Organize the transfer of local accounting software to Oracle Quality Assurance of Local Accounting - Understand the local GAAPs of different countries under your supervision. - Understand SITA activities, transfer pricing model and invoicing process. - Design and implement internal controls to ensure the local accounting practices are comply with the local GAAP’s and regulations. - Review and correct translations in local language. Qualifications: WHO YOU ARE - Minimum 8 years’ experience in accounting and proven experience in accounting project management. - Master’s degree in economics including specialization accounting or bachelor’s degree in accounting. - Professional Certifications: Certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are highly valued but not mandatory. - Advanced English / Spanish / Portuguese Proficiency: Essential for communicating with international colleagues. - Accounting Expertise: Familiarity with local and international accounting systems and practices. - Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) - Knowledge of direct and indirect taxes: understand the mechanism and the accounting implications - Attention to Detail: Critical for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance - Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently - Research Skills: Conducting research to understand local requirements and accounting GAAP - Technological Proficiency: Knowledge of accounting software and tools, experience with software migration is a plus - Cultural Awareness: Understanding and respecting cultural differences to effectively collaborate with diverse teams - Result oriented: to transform actions into results.
