Job Description The Institutional Banking Consultant role involves supporting the Group Head and Team Leader in establishing, implementing, negotiating, maintaining, and overseeing financial relations essential for efficient management of IDB's financial transactions in a multi-currency environment. This position requires a dedicated, energetic, and team-oriented treasury professional to work within the Banking Team, part of the Treasury in the Finance department. The team is responsible for: 1. Establishing, managing, and controlling a network of public and private financial institutions for delivering financial services and executing IDB financial transactions swiftly while minimizing risk. 2. Ensuring high-quality banking services are provided to IDB country Offices by partner financial institutions. 3. Overseeing and executing counterparty Standard Settlement Instructions for Treasury transactions. 4. Supporting legal and regulatory compliance with Treasury counterparties. 5. Monitoring AML/CTF lists related to vendor databases. 6. Managing authorized signatories documentation for the Finance department. 7. Supporting departmental initiatives to innovate and improve operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical aspects such as opening and closing banking accounts, monitoring operations, and ensuring data accuracy and security compliance. Additionally, they will maintain and exchange Swift authenticator keys with global bank correspondents for financial messaging, ensure the integrity and authenticity of financial systems, stay updated on technological advances and industry best practices, assist in evaluating bank services through surveys and quality reviews, support testing and implementation of new financial systems and enhancements, contribute to digital transformation efforts, data management, and automation initiatives, and create and develop reports using Power BI Desktop for data visualization and analytics to support decision-making. Required Skills and Qualifications - Master's degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, or related fields. - Minimum of 5 years in areas supporting bank relationships, documentation, digital banking technologies (ISO 20022, XML, Blockchain, Cybersecurity), settlement instructions, collateral management, and bank performance evaluation. - Knowledge of international and domestic payment regulations and systems is highly desirable. - Proficiency in Power BI and a data-driven mindset are also preferred. - Fluency in English and one of the official Bank languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is required.
