Cuesta Partners is looking for a data engineer with an interest in consulting, to work with our broad base of clients on various engagements, delivering data environments quickly using modern technologies and best practices. As a member of our data practice, you will have the opportunity to shape and build greenfield areas, making a lasting impact on our clients’ data landscape. Collaborating closely with leadership, you will play a key role in ingesting data for strategic business domains that can benefit from analytical insights. Your mission will be to deliver end-to-end data solutions, leveraging your expertise to unlock valuable insights and drive actionable decisions. Your contribution will be key in transforming data sets to unlock analytics insights for our clients. You will ensure data pipelines are scalable and secure, catering to multiple business units. Your expertise in developing and optimizing data pipelines will be instrumental in driving our data initiatives. The role requires following standards, specifications, controls, audits, and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, accuracy, usefulness, and timeliness. While the role is remote, occasional travel to the United States may be required. What We're Looking For 8+ years of relevant experience as a Data Business Analyst (3-5 years for Junior) Solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis languages including SQL, Python, and R Exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision Ability to critically evaluate data to derive meaningful, actionable insights Superior communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex data insights for non-technical audiences Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related discipline; prior experience in data analysis is advantageous Technical writing experience in queries, reports, and presentations What You'll Do Technical Expertise Establish communication with team members to align best practices and collaborate for continuous improvement Diagnose system or performance issues and support during critical downtimes and releases Propose solutions to roadblocks, outline dependencies, and escalate problems as needed Collect and organize information from various sources Clean and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency Apply statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns Develop models and visualizations to present insights clearly Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover relationships Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations Monitor and evaluate data quality and reliability Create reports and dashboards to communicate insights Development Leadership Maintain communication with project teams Support during critical system events Follow IT auditing and access control protocols Support troubleshooting, bug fixes, and escalations Mentor junior team members Build organizational networks and leverage expertise Additional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology Industries: Business Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
